The Electoral Committee of Dorcas Memorial College have appointed and badged the new set of prefects with their dispensation set to run through the 2023/2024 school session.
The outgoing senior students (SS3) wrote their last Waec examination 23rd of June 2023 to mark the official climax of their admirable reign as prefects. It was a significant and historical day in the citadel as the outgoing students had the privilege of also badging their successors for the designated post they occupied during their tenure.
It would be recalled that the Electoral Committee of the school conducted an inaugural and rigorous electoral process Friday 16the June 2023 at the school premises. Students came out in large numbers to exercise their civil rights to vote for candidates of their choice to mark a new dimension in the electoral history of the school. The candidates also went through severe screening exercises conducted by the tutors to examine not only their innate capacity to lead, co-ordinate and make others submit to school rules and regulations but also to scrutinize their articulation, charisma and all well rounded good personality traits worthy of emulation.
Some major positions were unopposed and had direct winners notably the Head Boy and Head Girl position with Anigbogu Onyeka and Egutu Esther respectively. The winners of the other post of the evenly contested election include:
